Questions designers ask
Short, honest answers. If yours is not here, write to us.
Which AutoCAD do I need?
AutoCAD 2013 or newer. Use DWGLAB.lsp in AutoCAD 2021 and newer, DWGLAB_EN.lsp in 2013 to 2020. We test the kit in AutoCAD 2024 and 2026. AutoCAD LT, BricsCAD and ZWCAD have not been tested yet.
Do I have to redraw my projects?
No. Walls, furniture, your own blocks and sheets stay. Only the points the crew installs (sockets, switches, lights, water, heating, air) must be our blocks, and each room gets an outline with DL_ROOM. Our blocks placed inside your own blocks are read too, with a warning.
Is it AI?
No. A script reads the blocks, their positions and their attributes exactly. The same drawing always gives the same book, and every number on a sheet comes from your drawing.
Which languages are the sheets in?
The crew's sheets and phone screens are in Armenian and Russian on the same page. The website and your project pages are in Armenian, Russian and English.
Does the crew need an app or an account?
No. The QR on each page opens the wall in the phone's browser. It works without signal and sends ticks and photos when the signal is back.
What if my drawing has mistakes?
Nothing is made until the check passes. Errors (a point without a height, a socket outside a room) are listed and circled on your plan; warnings (a socket below 150 mm, a switch at a door edge) are yours to decide. DL_CHECK finds most of them in AutoCAD before you upload.
What happens when the project changes during the work?
Upload the next version. You get a change sheet with the pages to reprint, points keep their numbers, ticks and photos stay on what did not change, and a phone on an old page sees that it is outdated.
Can I fix something without AutoCAD?
Yes. Open the uploaded version in the web planner, move, add or delete points, make the next version, and download your own DWG with only those points changed.
Who can see my project?
Only people with a link. Your link sees everything; the crew's link never shows prices or the client's comments; the client's link shows only what you allow, and you can turn it off. Project pages are kept out of search engines.
Where are my files kept?
On the dwg-lab server. An upload that is never made into a book is deleted after 7 days.
Can I give my client an estimate?
Yes. Every point, square metre and metre of the drawing is counted; you set labour and material prices in AMD, add your markup and give the client a PDF or Excel file.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the pilot. Prices come later; designers in the pilot hear first.
